On moving to Vernon in 2002, I founded the Wine Women and Woods Tee-Off for the Cure Golf Tournament. In the first six years we contributed over $280,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Chapter. I continue to contribute a portion of each of my sales commissions to the Foundation.
In 2008 I was chosen by my colleagues to be the recipient of the Realtors Care Award. The award highlights the contributions of a Realtor as "...a community ambassador in the real estate sector, someone who has chosen to make a difference in their community by raising awareness and fostering a sense of caring...".
